The short version: We collect what you enter in the application (your contact details and your running background) so we can read it, follow up with you, and talk about coaching. We use trusted providers to run our email, texting, hosting, and analytics. We do not sell your personal information, and you can opt out of our marketing anytime.
Who we are
VERTIS Coaching LLC ("VERTIS," "we," "us") is a running coaching business operated by Mark Pinales. This policy covers this coaching application page. Data inside our private athlete training app is covered by our separate in-app policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Contact details: your name, email address, and phone number if you choose to provide one.
- Application answers: what you type or select, such as your age, location, years running, weekly mileage, personal records, recent and upcoming races, your goal race and goal times, injuries or setbacks, when you want to start, which coach you prefer, how you heard about us, and your Strava or Instagram if you share them.
- Anything else you send us, such as replies or messages.
Information collected automatically: basic device and usage data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed) through cookies and similar technologies, including our website analytics provider.
How we use your information
- To read and respond to your application.
- To follow up with you about VERTIS coaching, programs, and services.
- To send you marketing emails, and text messages if you provided a phone number and consented.
- To understand and improve our website and offers.
- To meet our legal and security obligations.
Marketing and your consent
- Email: by submitting a form, you agree we may email you about our services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
- Text and phone (if you provide a number): you consent to receive calls and texts, including through automated systems, at the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time.
How we share information
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers who run things on our behalf, such as email and text senders, website hosting and database storage, payment processing, and analytics. They may use your data only to provide those services to us.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect our rights and our users.
- Business transfers, if VERTIS is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. You can ask us to delete it (see Your rights).
Data security
We use reputable providers (such as Supabase) and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data protected.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to opt out of marketing or the sharing of your data. To make a request, email us at mark@vertiscoaching.com. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version.
